Abstract Title:Integrative Care: The Role of Homeopathy in Accident Recovery and Sports Medicine
Biography: Dr. Keri Brown received her doctorate (ND) Degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA in 1998 and has successfully integrated nutritional, emotional, and structural therapeutics into a unique health approach. She is a founding member of Sojourns Non-Profit Community Clinic in Vermont, owner of Wide-Awake Wellness in Colorado, author, speaker, and entrepreneur. She focuses on utilizing holistic health information, cutting edge techniques, and common sense to support and inspire transitions in health. For over 30 years, Dr. Brown has been exploring and integrating the balance of nature, healing, science, and meditation for wellness.
Research Interest: This seminar focuses on the use of homeopathic and natural medicine for self-limiting accidents and illnesses that happen at home, in the field, clinic, or while traveling abroad. We cover specific remedies, an in-depth look at a variety of first aid situations and treatment options, and the contents of a natural first aid medical kit. This information is geared for immediate use regarding what remedies to use in the real-world settings of accidents and injuries. It is designed to teach health independence in the professional use of homeopathic medicine that goes far beyond bandaging alone. We will explore specific homeopathic remedies, including some herbs, essential oils, and hydrotherapy as they are used in “real-life” in the clinic, home, and wilderness settings to treat sport injuries. The focus is on several highly effective remedies that provide rapid relief and increase the healing time for physical and emotional traumas. Historically, using these remedies has dramatically improved the health outcome when someone gets hurt. Knowing the treatment options available and having them on hand for both minor and major accidents when used wisely and at the correct time has been used for centuries.
